My Maternity Shoot Sneak Peek- 31 weeks!

Here is a little sneak peek of my maternity session this past weekend.  I'm 31 weeks and getting super excited!!!  Baby M will be here before you know it!

A HUGE thank you to my amazing photographer

*I use Amber for all of our family photos AND home interior shots as well.  She is super fun to work with and truly has loads of talent.  If you are in Nashville, you should give her a shot, you'll love her too!

Million Dollar Dip

My BFF Alicia gave me this recipe a while ago, and I've been making it a lot lately for parties, showers, etc.  It is SO GOOD.

It is called Million Dollar Dip and is cheesy and bacony (not really a word, but you get the idea)

Try it, you won't be sorry!
Serve and eat with any yummy crackers....

Baby M's Linen Crib Bedding!

 The new crib bedding
for baby M's room arrived!

It is a gorgeous cream linen (very white, no yellow)
Custom made from ld linens

(one of her beautiful custom toy slings)

Her custom pieces are just gorgeous and include pillows, toy slings, and all fittings for the bed!

The blush pink is just SO sweet!

Love the box pleat on the blue as well

I decided on the cream because I like to change out my crib sheets often (design ADD remember?)

My all time favorite crib sheets for softness, color and pattern are from Serena and Lily.

Planning For K's 3rd Birthday Party...

Well, it's that time of year again.....(already?)
Time to plan for K's 3rd Birthday!
I cannot believe how fast time is flying...
It's going to be a girly party (literally, ALL girls)
with a fun 'valentiney' theme...why not?

The theme makes it really easy on me this year since this is what you find in the stores this time of year.
Let's face it, I'll be really preggo, so the easier the better.

I still can't believe my BABY is going to be THREE.

The New Kitchen Tile Backsplash!

The tile installation is COMPLETE!
(well, it has been complete for a month, but I'm just now getting around to sharing it with you...)
My tile designer Seth, from Indigo Granite and Tile Designs, and I chose a mother of pearl hexagonal tile and I LOVE IT!

The hexagonal mother of pearl tile is from Artistic Tile, who makes some GORGEOUS tile my friends!  I especially love their water jet designs.

Here is one of the designs that I LOVED but just really wasn't in my budget.  Maybe in our next home!
Isn't it SO PRETTY?

If you are local, my tile designer Seth is AMAZING and you should DEF consult him on your kitchen or bath projects!  He can do everything from start to finish (help you pick your granite or marble, set up all of your installations, etc)
and he is SUPER FUN to work with too!

Trying now to figure out if I really want to have the cabinets glazed, or if I want to keep them plain.  Thoughts?

Also, after I make that decision, need to have this hardware installed which I think will make a big shiny impact!!

*Follow the entire kitchen refacing project here

So.....should I have the cabinets glazed or keep them plain?
HELP!

I'm having a BLOG SALE!

(that is really on my facebook page)

Well, it is about to become obvious that I am a hoarder.  Okay, so I'm a neat and clean, organized hoarder.  Ya know, like Candy Spelling minus the millions of dollars.  So, I have REALLY cute boy clothing- size 3mo to 4t.  Some of it is pre-owned but only worn by one little boy, and a lot of it is New with Tags. There are also some really adorable girl pieces for sale too (yes, I have too much).

Clearly, there will be no boys in our household.  The baby factory will be officially closed for business after Baby M arrives (a girl).

Sooooo....I am currently getting pics up on my facebook page for sale.  Leave a comment with your email address and the word SOLD if you would like the item, it is first come first serve.  The shipping is FREE (in the continental US).

Shop on my friends, next week I attack my 'linen and pillow closet' and will have a pillow and decor sale.  I'll keep ya posted.  We need some more room around this house.

Like my facebook page to see the items posted so far, I still have a LONG way to go, but I'm listing as I type this post.

Baby M's Nursery Design Progress....

The nursery design is coming along....
wanna see?

The bedding is a gorgeous cream linen, with one of the crib sheets in the center fabric in the pic.  The top right fabric will be one of the changing table covers.  I'll be using K's old white iron crib that I am still in LOVE with....

I'm waiting on the glider cover and ottoman new slipcover (it's the same Hayes glider from k's nursery).  I'm also waiting on the crib bumper insert (the linen bedding arrived but needs to be steamed), custom crib sheets (I also bought a few from Serena and Lily), etc. I hope it all comes together soon!!!  Time is drawing near....

My Birthday Present- A Stairunner! Yippee!!

So, here's the deal.  We hate going upstairs.  Why?  Well, first of all there is a lot of them (lazy huh?).  17 to be exact.  This is what happens when the lowest part of the your main floor ceiling is 12 feet tall and you have 9 foot doorways.  Second, we have hardwoods in every room of our home except the bonus room upstairs (by design for babies and little ones to play etc) and they are exactly that, hard.  The stairs hurt this preggo's feet....and guess where the new nursery is?  Yup, upstairs.  And guess who is having a c- section (had one last time so I'm a repeat)?  Yup, this girl.

Pretty hardwood stairs that make me feel like I have bruises on my heels...boo

So, I got a stair runner for my birthday.  Nothing says you are old, like a stair runner for your birthday.  That's how I roll now.  Old, and lovin' cushy surfaces on my feet.  Uh huh.

Here is the good news:  I picked out a pretty ivory stainmaster carpet with a great replacement warranty and cool design, and they installed it in the center of the steps.

Bad news:  The installers centered it on the step.  The whole step.  Not the visual space between the railings and the wall. They are coming out this week to fix their mistake.  Woh woh.

But maaaaaaaaan, they sure are cushy and comfortable.  Me likey.

Back to Blogging....Happy New Year!

Merry Belated!!!!

I sure did miss you guys!  But this big preggo needed a break...my back has been killing me, for I show loud and proud in my pregnancies.  We were also rear ended which resulted in an ambulance ride and fetal monitoring for this girl.  God protected all of us, and we are all just fine.  I also have had round ligament pain that makes me feel like my baby is going to fall out- good times!  Baby M is healthy and growing(3.1 lbs already!) and I'm 28 weeks along...not too much longer now!

I hope you guys had a fabulous holiday and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I'm glad to be back for a few more months before my world turns upside down!
Eeeek!
