Here is my dining room, and my farm table from Southeastern Salvage. For $900.
I popped into Southeastern Salvage last week and they had just unloaded a TON of gorgeous farm tables for the same amazing price points. Man I love that part. Lol.
This one had drop down sides, pretty cool. Also, check out the gorgeous indonesian doors in the background. If I was building a home, you can bet I'd find a place for those.
14 dining chairs! Woah! You gotta have one big dining space for this one, but oh it would be so cool if you did!
I think the gorgeous dark stain on this trestle farm table is so pretty! This one is the same size as mine.
I'm contemplating this one for my kitchen. But I need to measure, because it might be too big. I love the legs!
Not a bad price tag, eh? Me likey.
Have you guys seen any home with gorgeous farm tables? I love their casual feel, and the warming welcome they add to a space. I first saw one when I was baby sitting for a family back in 1998. Their gorgeous home was custom built by the father that is an amazing architect. I've wanted one ever since. It only took me 12 years, lol.
A little goody came in the mail over the weekend and I am in LOVE!
Goodies for K's Bathroom!
One of my UBER TALENTED friends from high school has a fun business SIGnature Creations and she makes the cutest clothes for kiddos, handbags, YOU name it, the girl can SEW with mad skills and can make anything! Including K's new custom shower curtain! Isn't her packaging adorable? I'm a sucker for packaging and it really is just a dose of how professional and how quality her work is....she doesn't miss a thing! She prides herself in quality, and man does it show!
the cutest applique towels were a bonus from
SIGnature Creations- thank you Astrid!!!
(Did I mention she has triplets? She's supermom!)
It's all coming together!
(did I mention how hard it is to get a pic of a small bathroom?)
Okay, so my fall toe color got me in the mood for fall makeup. I mean, I can't wear sweaters and boots yet, but I can put a few fall colors on my face, right?
Yes, I'm in my car again. Aren't all moms? I'm waiting for K to get out of Mother's Day Out....and other moms are probably thinking that I'm a nut job taking self pics in my car. That's cool, because I kind of am.
Now, you might remember this post, where I state that I rarely wear anything more than lip gloss. On a special day, I wear my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, and that's really more for the SPF. But in this pic, I am wearing a few of my new additions to my make up collection. Fingers crossed I actually continue to use them...(I still have my lashes and brows tinted so that if I leave the house with a naked face, it looks a little better).
2. Laura Mercier Eye Canvas EC-3- This is an oil free eye base and I'm hoping it helps keep my smudged liner in place and doesn't end up creasing in my oily eye lid. Eww, oily eye lid sounds so gross. You get the idea.
3. Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil in Antique Jade- I always steer away from the green (despite the fact that this is my eye color) and go for the navy blues and blues in general. I decided to go out on a limb and get the green. I'm glad I did, I think it empasizes the color of the iris. When's the last time you said iris?
4. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Creme Compact in Nude- I have used the tube of her tinted moisturizer for over a decade and love it. She just came out with this compact, so I decide just to buy it for touch ups etc. Who knows if I'll ever use it, as I'm doing good to get it on in the morning in the first place. But, I gotta try. This girl ain't gettin' any younger.
What does that mean? It means I want something other than hot pink toes, but yet I'm still in flip flops.
I picked this color at the nail salon, and didn't know I'd love it so much. I just really think it is the perfect in between summer and 'real' fall color. So, what didn't I do? Naturally, I forgot to look at the color name. I know it was OPI and that's it. UGH. Nice one Shelli. I looked online to see if I could find the color, as one of my friends said she thought it came from the fall 2012 German collection.
I found this photo here at The Polish Aholic blog. Do you think it might be one of these colors? If not, I love them too. Have you guys been transitioning seasons with your nail and toe colors lately? I'm so ready for the cooler weather. We've had hints of it, but I'm ready for more than just the tease!
(This photo shows brushed nickel, but we ordered chrome)
*we researched a lot of bridge faucets and really like the curvature of this model and the all chrome hand spray. We already received it in the mail and it is weighty and beautiful. We were really impressed with the quality
we wanted a small wine fridge and decided to have one installed in the island. The island will also be getting a larger slab of granite so that it will have overhang and bar stools for a great place to feed K and her friends...
*The wine fridge has shipped but hasn't arrived just yet. My husband did a lot of research on wine fridges in general and this one received good reviews and was a good price point for a built in model.
source It's so easy to google and find pretty images of lanterns that you love, but not quite so easy to find them to buy....anyone seen any beautiful lanterns for sale lately? Or any gorgeous images that I have missed?
Look at my friend (from college) Amy's GORGEOUS kitchen!
The marble! The BEAUTIFUL blue subway tile!
You can't see it really well in this pic, but she has the fun see through glass 'fridge....swoon!
Oh, did I forget to mention that she has TEN (yes, you read that right) gorgeous children? Um, this is only half of the brood in this pic and they are ALL ADORABLE. She birthed them all (no twins) and Amy is model gorgeous to this day (not to mention sweet as pie). I hear the oldest likes to be in charge of arranging the contents of the refrigerator.....no fair! I sure am wishin' I had an island that big.....sigh
The black wrought iron feels so severe, and doesn't really go with my design aesthetic. Also, I am in the market for a carpet runner so this staircase doesn't feel so much like a death trap. Does anyone know of any good home tours with a carpet staircase runner I can catch a glimpse of?
I wish my railing looked more like the one shown here from the home of Sally Wheat, featured on Cote de Texas. She mentions that it is a faux paint treatment on the railing, but no more details. Has anyone heard of this? Have you seen this before on other railings? I like the pewter patina color. *for more Sally Wheat Home gorgeousness, check out the links in this post
We are back from the beach and had a great last hurrah for summer in the OBX (Corolla, NC)!
Of course we had to have a our annual photo shoot for K on the beach and I think the photographer did a fabulous job! I knew we might need a few props for the shoot so I picked up some fun shades and a dozen silver balloons....can't go wrong with balloons right? I cannot believe how much my little girl has grown...sniff sniff....
