Spring Linen I Love!

I am obsessed with linen.

Yes, it wrinkles and doesn't look that great after the first hour, but I don't care.  I love it.  I think I love that it represents spring and great weather!
When I saw the yellow linen crop pants for K, I had to have them (I only paid $7 for them on the sale rack at Janie and Jack, I like that part too)

Sometimes she gets a little camera shy.

Such a little character for sure.....
(sorry for the blur)

Here you can see the little sweet bow detail on her little ivory cotton Janie and Jack top
(that I also got on the sale rack for only $5!)

Oh, there's that sweet face that I love so much!
HAPPY MONDAY FOLKS!!!

PS- Looks like Shannon can get more necklaces if you wanna put your order in the comments section of that post

Ikat Mats For The Kitchen!

Sometimes I dream of a white kitchen, carrera marble countertops, all clean and pretty.  But sometimes, I find something fun for MY kitchen!  Like these fun ikat mats that I found at HomeGoods yesterday!  I think they punch up my kitchen nicely.

Not too shabby for $16.99, right?

Sorry for the bad lighting.
$29.99 for the runner!

I think they are super fun!
They had other fun colors and designs as well.
(I may or may not have bought a hot pink one for my closet)
What do you think?
Happy Thursday!!!!

White Chicken Enchiladas

WHITE CHICKEN ENCHILADAS

I found this recipe here and I heard through a bunch of bloggy  friends that it is AMAZING.

I'm so gonna stalk Joyful Momma's Kitchen for more recipes!

Chicken enchiladas with green chili sour cream sauce
*These are seriously so so good*
10 soft taco shells
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup sour cream
1 (4 oz) can diced green chillies

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a 9x13 pan
2. Mix chicken and 1 cup cheese.  Roll up in tortillas and place in pan.
3. In a sauce pan, melt butter, stir in flour and cook 1 minute.  Add broth and whisk until smooth.  Heat over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
4. Stir in sour cream and chilies.  Do not bring to boil, you don't want curdled sour cream.
5. Pour over enchiladas and top with remaining cheese.
6. Bake 22 min and then under high broil for 3 min to brown the cheese.

K's Big Girl Room Progress.....

Well, my house got hit with the pukies......and that was a good time had by all.  Ugh.  Stomach flu is NO JOKE.  Sorry for my absence...but I think everyone is better and I'm back!

Here is an updated board on K's new big girl room!
I ordered the bed, dresser, curtain panels, rug, shade, print, and some of the bedding.  I ordered the belgian linen with lavender stripe as a big bolster pillow for the bed.  I am trying to decide which fabrics to do for the duvet cover and another sham to go with the John Robshaw purple sham over to the left.

Here are some fun twin sheets I ordered

Now here is where I need your help.....

Which fabrics would you use for the duvet
and for the sham?  HELP!

Jellycat And Little Giraffe Luxe Goodness!!

Happy Monday Folks!

Easter Brunch at the club

sorting through her loot at the egg hunt the day before

I'm a little late on the Easter Basket sharing front, so here is the basket I put together for K.  It is basically goodies that I have collected over the past few months.  This isn't her real Easter basket, but I 'collected' a little too much, so I had to use the same basket I used for her Valentine goodies.  I think it held diapers back in the day in K's baby nursery..sniff sniff.
Anyone wanna guess what K's FAV was in the basket?  Oh yeah, it was the $.97 necklace and bracelet that I randomly picked up at the grocery store one day.  Sigh.

As for the bunnies, have you guys seen the Jellycat stuffed animals????  They are HEAVENLY.  SOOOOOO SOFT!!!  They are made out of the same luxe material as the Little Giraffe luxe Blankets if you are familiar (another one of my baby faves).

(you can see the beginnings of k's nursery transformation here...sniff sniff)

I bought this momma and baby bunny at Little Cottage locally in Franklin, but have seen them in several boutiques around town.  The momma bunny is huge and K is in LOVE with her!!  K has a giraffe and a pink pig as well (I think they are all the medium size).  She LOVES them and I love that they are so sweet and soft in the crib with her!

Here are K's Little Giraffe luxe blankets and pillow!  She sleeps with them every night- I wish I had one my size!

She has the actual Little Giraffe too, and he is adorable!
These are all of my 2 year old's crib mates, lol!

*You can buy the jellycats and the Little Giraffe Blankets at amazon as well!

The Before And After I Needed To See......

My friend Michelle (from college) shared her friend Stephanie's story with the 90 day challenge with me last week because I need a little extra push of motivation to stick with the shakes.  I have been pretty good about having one for breakfast, but really want to push myself to 2 shakes per day.  The one week that I was diligent and stuck to 2 shakes per day I had so much energy and felt so good!  WHY SHELLI????  I mean, hello, you would think this would make me stick to the program!  I was so inspired by Stephanie's story that I wanted to share it with you!  I mean, who doesn't like a good before and after picture, and one day, I hope to share mine with you (I might need wine for that, lol).

Stephanie Before The Shakes

Hello my name is Stephanie Gandolph and I just wanted to give my personal story how Visalus has blessed my family physically and financially! My husband, Donnie, was deployed to Iraq in November of 2010.  This was his 3rd deployment ,but our first one with kids. After he left I became super depressed and gained a lot of weight and lost motivation to do anything. I was left at home with an 8 month old and a 3 year old, so being depressed for very long was not an option! Last February I finally snapped out of it. I started trying to lose weight and live my life one step at a time, which was super hard to do without my husband! I lost 40 pounds on my own by watching calories and exercising. People were saying I looked good but I was not feeling good! I was hungry all the time and getting migraines! I then signed up on October 28 to do the shakes and be a promoter. I signed up without my husband knowing because I never knew the next time I would talk to him... just reading and hearing about the product got me excited and ready to go! I started doing two shakes a day and immediately noticed how much better I felt and I wasn't feeling 'hungry. ' After working super hard for 8 months and losing 40 pounds on my own I was ready to get my last 25-30 off. A month and a half after being on the shakes I did it! I lost 27 pounds and have kept it off for the first time in my life! So that my physical story, my financial story is just as wonderful!

My husband was promised a job when he got home. He even arrived home early so he could start this job! Two days before he was scheduled to start, he was informed that the funding didn't go through- that job was no longer open. We freaked out to say the least! We decided to both take on Visalus as a team! We worked hard and less than 5 months later we hit ambassador ($12,000 plus per month), a huge accomplishment!!!! We are now both job optional and love the fact that we r making a wonderful living while helping people change their lives for the better. I have always said God has a purpose for all of us and everything happens for a reason. In my situation, that has shown to be 100 percent true! He has blessed us in so many ways! Thanks to him we can both continue to do the best job in the world!

Stephanie After the Shakes (6 weeks)

Yep, that's what I needed to see!
Thanks Stephanie!

Spring Sips 'n Styles - The Blog Hop! It's My Turn!

Good Morning alamoders.....
Today's post is for Spring Sips and Styles!!!
A BIG welcome to today's blog hoppers!

I'm glad you popped over!  Wine Taste Girl has left a few comments on my blog and we connected over the fact that we both live in Nashville, so fun to get to know local bloggers.
Turns out, we already knew each other in real life!  Several years ago Shannon (Wine Taste Girl) and I met in the field selling pharmaceuticals together!  We ran into each other a couple weeks ago at a children's consignment sale and the rest is history!  I'm super excited that we re connected!

Lately I have been into all things nautical! I like to dress my home as much as I like to dress myself...

The porch has a punchy cherry red and bright royal blue!

To take it a step further, I think a perfect night on the porch would be to put my little baby girl in this cute dress from Rikshaw Designs
My style is relaxed, comfortable chic and I think navy is a color that stays fresh, always in style!
While, sitting on my screened in porch I would like to be wearing this

and these
accessorizing myself with this

with my feet propped up in pair of these
while sipping a crantucket mojito (yummo!)
Oh, and lets pretend the view is THIS
Whew!  I think we're done here.
Too bad this is in Cabo, and not my backyard.
Thank you for having me  as part of your blog hop Shannon!
Ya'll come back and see me sometime.....
