Alpha Beta Glow Pads- dr. dennis gross- thoughts?

Here is what I look like with make up.  Trish McEvoy make up to be exact...been using her stuff for years (and Laura Mercier) and love it.  I didn't even put this make up on myself, my girl at Private Edition hooked me up.

aaaaaaaaand there's my mug.
I like the make up.  But here's the thing.  I'm lazy.  I would rather spend my time on nightly skincare routine (I use obagi and neocutis) than applying make up.

Brace yourself.  Here's the no make up shot.
I get my lashes and brows dyed.
It makes my lazy no make up face life easier.
I have chapstick on in this pic and thats it.  Ugh.
But...the reality is, I go around looking like this
all.  the.  time.
(I guess I like to think I look better than this pic shows,
darn you reality!!)

Okay, okay, so the point of this post is not just for you to have to stare at my face I swear.
I bought these dr. dennis gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads and I wanna know if anyone has tried them and if they like them?!

I thought it might give me a tiny bit of color for my no make up lazy life face.  Let me know your thoughts.

---EDIT---
Okay, I really liked the self tanner glow pads!  But, I am lazy and only used them once.  Oh, and I should have gone a little further back on my forehead hairline, as I had a bit of a line of demarkation.  I'm kind of ok with pale face, but if you really need a hit of subtle color on your face, these can be your best friend!!  xoxo shel

  1. I have used the glow pads for 2 years now and LOVE them! I have sensitive skin and they do not break me out, dry out my skin, etc. Even though the pads have exfoliating qualities, I prep my skin before applying by using Bobbi Brown's buffing grains mixed with my cleanser, just to make sure all the dead skin is removed before applying the pads. They give a very subtle, natural glow (I am fair skinned). The only area I have to be careful to when applying is around my hair line. I am blond and if I apply the pad to the hairline first, I tend to see a difference between the color of my forehead and the color of my scalp. I start applying the glow pad to my cheeks first and forehead last. I hope you enjoy the glow pads as well!

  2. Lady, you are 1000% wrong. You look awesome! Seriously, make up is not necessary for you! I swear. I like both looks but you have a complexion I would die for. Plus I am horrid w/ a skin care routine. Other than applying sunscreen I do the opposite of all dermatologists recommendations... I screwed when I'm 60 HA

I completely hear you on make-up. Sometimes I dont care who is looking at me, other days I can put tons of effort in & it still isn't good. I have used bare minerals forever but recently switched to laura mercier tinted moisturizer. I just rub it on like lotion, its a quick, awesome boost to a blank palette!

Girl I would kill of either look. No joke!

  3. You look amazing either way! I have not tried those. I have never been a huge fan of self tanning products. I do love my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for lighter days. Two other products I have tried and loved as well are Garnier's BB Cream and Dr. Pericone's no foundation foundation (pricey, but a little goes a VERY long way). Both do a great job of evening out skin tone without feeling "made" up.

  4. First of all, please understand I do not say this lightly. I very seldom log in to leave any messages on this type board but here goes...You...Are...Gorgeous, without makeup....period. Anxious to hear how the pads work as I am NOT gorgeous without, but if I had your skin I would not worry one bit.

  5. Hmmm...as a makeup junky, dare I say that I actually think you look better without it??? Seriously, you look great! I have never used the pads, just wanted to drop a comment on how FAB you look without makeup (JEALOUS!). BTW-thanks for being real!

  6. I'll be interested to hear how you like them. I'm curious (because I'm an Obagi disciple), if you're currently using retin-a? Just wondering if you end up liking how the two mix. I'm with Simply LKJ in that I love my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for lighter days and especially if I'm flaking a bit after kicking up my retin-a routine a notch.

  10. Shelli, you look amazing without makeup! I'm so jealous! You have fabulous skin and great full lips. Lucky you!!! I won't even go to the grocery store without makeup! I'm pathetic.

  11. Holy smokes, natural beauty. Send some secrets this way. So envious. Never tried those little numbers but would love to. My routine is Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, mascara, and lip gloss.

  12. Shelli, You look AH-mazing in both photos! Your skin look really, really good! I, like you, love me some makeup, but I rarely have the time or the energy to apply it during the week. I spend lots of time on my skincare routine, though. I have never used the Glow Pads. I’d be interested to hear how you like them. For facial self-tanning, I use Clarins Radiance-Plus Cream Gel and I really like it, but I’m always ready to try a new product!
