Gorgeous Green Geranium Statement Necklace- $50

Get excited!!!  Shannon's got the statement necklace again!

This Spring and Summer statement necklaces were all the rage, and Fall proves to be no different.  While looking through the J.Crew, Banana Republic and several other catalogs I'm still seeing the big, bold, colorful statement necklaces in all the collections.  Geranium, the makers of the fabulous necklaces I sold this past summer, have come out with another new, gush worthy color just in time for fall.  This rich, deep green color is a perfect compliment to so many popular fall colors, and I'm already finding a ton of items I have in my closet this piece works with perfectly.  Not only do I love the color, but they have also really improved the quality and stability of these necklaces as I seem to wear them with just about everything!- Shannon from Wine Taste Girl

The quality is even better this time around, a little sturdier, which is awesome!  They are only $50!!
(Lauren Conrad had one on her blog from spring/summer and it sold for $150)

This summer, the mint and coral necklaces flew off the shelf, so if you want to order this yummy green one, leave a comment on this post with your email address and Shannon will send you an invoice from pay pal!  They sell fast, so don't miss out!

Alpha Beta Glow Pads- dr. dennis gross- thoughts?

Here is what I look like with make up.  Trish McEvoy make up to be exact...been using her stuff for years (and Laura Mercier) and love it.  I didn't even put this make up on myself, my girl at Private Edition hooked me up.

aaaaaaaaand there's my mug.
I like the make up.  But here's the thing.  I'm lazy.  I would rather spend my time on nightly skincare routine (I use obagi and neocutis) than applying make up.

Brace yourself.  Here's the no make up shot.
I get my lashes and brows dyed.
It makes my lazy no make up face life easier.
I have chapstick on in this pic and thats it.  Ugh.
But...the reality is, I go around looking like this
all.  the.  time.
(I guess I like to think I look better than this pic shows,
darn you reality!!)

Okay, okay, so the point of this post is not just for you to have to stare at my face I swear.
I bought these dr. dennis gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads and I wanna know if anyone has tried them and if they like them?!

I thought it might give me a tiny bit of color for my no make up lazy life face.  Let me know your thoughts.

Okay, I really liked the self tanner glow pads!  But, I am lazy and only used them once.  Oh, and I should have gone a little further back on my forehead hairline, as I had a bit of a line of demarkation.  I'm kind of ok with pale face, but if you really need a hit of subtle color on your face, these can be your best friend!!  xoxo shel

Mudpie Boathouse Baby Bibs- Gifts To Go!

Mudpie Boathouse Baby Bibs For The Twins!

One of my girlfriends just had twin boys and I thought these little mudpie seersucker crab bibs were too cute....so I snatched them up!

I just shacked mr. crab up with some tissue and stashed him in a cellophane bag with ribbon...its my 'go to' wrap.  Easy, breezy.

almost ready to go!

Big brother Eli is 2, and K thought he needed a goody too!
Welcome to the world, Sam and Hank!

I thought that crab looked familiar, and then I went back through my pictures of baby k and found this (look at that little baldie, so sweet!!)  I guess I must have always been drawn to mr crab- I must have liked him twice! Ha!

Nursery Inspiration- Sources and Blogs To Help You Design A StylishNursery!

I was doing a nursery design for one of my clients and she sent these inspiration photos to me and I love them all!  Unfortunately I have no solid sources on two of these gorgeous rooms, so if you know where either of them came from, PLEASE share with me so I can give the appropriate credit!!

I see this nursery was featured on Chic and Cheap Nursery, but does anyone know the original source?

and have you seen these cute gliders from Carousel designs?  This is a great site for custom bedding, lamp shades, gliders, etc.....

*Chic Spaces for Little Faces  and Cheap and Chic Nursery blogs are both a great resource for nursery inspiration

Kendall's bedding arrived yesterday!!
I'm trying to get the finishing touches completed....

Right now I just have a set of Charisma khaki sheets on her bed but do you think I should get some of these or do you think it is too much?  Should I just buy some white sheets?

Need sheeting advice ASAP!!

You found the Lydia Feather Chairs!! (and I bought them)

Once again, my readers have saved me!  Amy, an interior designer out of Louisiana, was the first to email me to let me know that the peacock chairs were in fact at World Market, and on sale!  Lots of other sweet readers chimed in as well and I was so impressed that you all knew exactly where to find them!  You guys are awesome!

Amy even emailed me the tag!
So of course I headed out to World Market and grabbed the three Lydia Feathers chairs that they had in the store!

so sorry for the bad lighting, it was night time

I need to buy smaller felt pads for the bottoms of the chairs, ha!  They look like they are wearing socks that are too big!

So, as you can see, I think they will actually be living in the breakfast room.....should I get the table leaf back out and put it back in the table???  I'm thinking so...

A HUGE thank you to all of you that told me where to find the chairs!  Though I had checked out World Market online, I would have never headed to the actual store if it wasn't for your comments!  THANK YOU!!

Dining Chair Dilemma Part 2

Well, if you read this post, you know I am in a dining chair dilemma.  I didn't have any luck at HomeGoods this weekend (well, in that dining chair dept anyway, ha) so I started looking at some of the places you guys suggested!

I did find some chairs that I thought were fun
and would work!
$541 each (eek!)
*I loooooove this chair,
but alas it is nowhere near my budget.
Back to reality....

$169 each

$149 each

I didn't love any of them enough to pull the trigger.
And as much as I love these x back chairs in this picture, they are not very sturdy or comfortable...

I originally had 4 of these filigree dining chairs from Potterybarn, but one was 'lost' in the move from Atlanta to Nashvegas...(now I have 2 in the breakfast room and 1 in the walk in storage)

I moved 3 of the filigree dining chairs into the dining room to see what they would look like....

A closer shot of the filigree chairs...
(now I gotta go get some greenery to stick in those vintage wine carboys- is that what they are called?)

My issue with the French Side Chair is that if I put them in this room then I need to immediately change out my buffet and a few other furnishings as well.....

I do like the Amber Walter Ikat Side Chair, but I'm more drawn to blues and just didn't know if it would be a look that I would LOVE....make any sense?

I thought I would wait a bit and see if I could actually find  a few of these chairs...
sigh.....I hope I run across them soon!

Dining Room Chair Switch Up

I would really love some new,
more substantial dining room chairs......
(but I still love my bench!)
Here is my current dining room...
but...I am tired of the parson's chairs....and the x back chairs

I'm still in LOVE with Emily Ruddo's hot pink dining chairs, but don't think they would work in my home- woh, woh

I just can't get enough of this gorgeous design!

I saw these dining chairs on Serenity Now, and am wishing that I would find them at MY HomeGoods!!!  I think this fabric would work perfectly in my dining room, and I bet they are a great price too!
(I want 5, but would take 3...but alas, haven't seen ONE!)

I don't have high hopes of finding them, so has anyone seen any dining chairs lately that you think would look good in my dining room?  I would like a more comfortable, upholstered look like all of the chairs above.

roots & wings photo shoot!

One of the moms that I love from Kendall's Mothers Day Out program has the cutest shop on Etsy, Roots and Wings.

A few months ago, she asked if K would model a few of her creations for her shop pictures.....so fun!

K thoroughly enjoyed getting her make up applied....

but of course she turned the brush around....

The above photographs are from my iphone and the gorgeous photographs below are from

This is K with the shop owner's little girl, Harper!
How sweet are these two girls?!

Kendall is in LOVE with her tutus and will wear them every time she gets the chance!!!  They are truly dreamy!
Shannon does custom gorgeousness, click here for her shop!
