Designing Around A Red Dining Room- edesign client

My client moved into a new house and needed some help!  She had always dreamed of a red dining room, so she had an existing red dining room with her new table and chairs, and a neutral living room with her new lazy boy sofa.

She wanted me to bring a color pop into her living room, something that would coordinate with her red dining room because it is an open floor plan.

I gave her two options, tell us which one you prefer!

Bright-  Royal Blue and Navy!

Muted Mix- Steel gray

ps- shannon said the company received a huge shipment of the $40 necklaces so if you still want one, leave a comment on the original post

tidbit: I received an email from a sweet blog reader that said she had blogged about these necklaces about 6 months ago, but the site where she saw them was selling them for $198!!!!

  1. I personally love the top picture with the blue. I think the blue would give the room a wow factor when people come in. That particular blue is one of my favorite colors. Both boards are great, though. :-)

  4. I love the blue. She could even do a wall display of blue/white china in the dining room.

  5. I like the muted mix in the second picture.

I think the red with all the blue is just a little too patriotic looking.

  6. The second one is my initial reaction, but if I continue to look at the pictures too long, I'll be indecisive. Both are beautiful!!

  9. Love them both, but if she's looking for a pop of color, the blues are the ticket. Lovely choices!

  10. So so lovely. I am loving cobalt blue and red right now so the first one is my choice. So pretty.

  11. I love the 2nd option board, the muted-steel gray......BEAUTIFUL! The first board has a lot of energy but is almost too Red/White/ & Blue themed. I would not choose a red dining room, but you made it work and look so nice. I guess that's why you're the designer.
