K's Big Girl Room Progress.....

Well, my house got hit with the pukies......and that was a good time had by all.  Ugh.  Stomach flu is NO JOKE.  Sorry for my absence...but I think everyone is better and I'm back!

Here is an updated board on K's new big girl room!
I ordered the bed, dresser, curtain panels, rug, shade, print, and some of the bedding.  I ordered the belgian linen with lavender stripe as a big bolster pillow for the bed.  I am trying to decide which fabrics to do for the duvet cover and another sham to go with the John Robshaw purple sham over to the left.

Here are some fun twin sheets I ordered

Now here is where I need your help.....

Which fabrics would you use for the duvet
and for the sham?  HELP!

  2. 4&10.... subtle but adds a punch & great accent of elephants, like the classic pattern in 4, goes great w/ the bed and will allow the chevron lamp shade to pop!

    Crazy question........
Did you buy the "elephant" embroidery that's one One Kings Lane today?

  8. I would do fabric #1 for the duvet and fabric F (the elephant print) for the sham. I absolutely adore that elephant print fabric, it is gorgeous! But those are just some thoughts from down in Chattanooga! I love the room design, it will be gorgeous whatever you pick.

  9. I would 9 and 10 in the duvet. Maybe oneside 9 and the other ten so you can flip. then use the elephant for pillows.

  10. I have to say I love #1 and #10, but I wouldn't necessarily put a pattern on the duvet...that probably isn't helping =) You have such great pattern in the Robshaw sham, the lampshade, rug and sheets. You may want to ground some of it with a solid duvet and then do the sham and maybe a throw pillow in a few of your other patterns. Can't wait to see your finished product...I'm loving your furniture selection! And that mirror...gorgeous!

  11. I would say #1 if you didn't have the Pottery Barn sheets (my daughter has those paisley ones too.) So I think 9 and or 10. With some accents of the elephant....Although I am a fan of the plain duvet...so we can change things without it being too obvious to our husbands....Have a great day.

  13. All those patterns are beautiful! I vote plain white duvet with a snazzy pattern bedskirt in 4 or 9 and some cute throw pillows. Can't wait to see what you do!

  14. This probably isn't helping, but I'm a fan of a solid duvet and then prints for the shams, throw pillows and dust ruffle. That way you can reuse the duvet with a different color scheme all together. A white duvet would make everything else pop! Its all so cute though, so you can't go wrong!!!

  15. I also vote solid for duvet; and I vote to mongram it really big in the center to add some personal punch :). Definitely use the elephants for the sham and any of the others are great for some throw pillows too!
