One of my sweet clients emailed me this photo of her dining room and asked me to help her out, that this was the only room in her new home that had her stumped.

Love it! I wouldn't tone down the niches I love it! Also where is the Pillow on the chair from??
ReplyDeleteWow, it is gorgeous! I love those lamps! You did a fantastic job, Shelli!
ReplyDeleteI love the niches... do they really need toning down? ;) You two did great work.
ReplyDeleteShelli....YOU ARE SPOILING US!!!
ReplyDeleteWe keep walking past the room this evening and are so happy. We love the aqua rug...it was the final piece we were waiting for.
OK EVERYONE....wait for it.....CLEARANCE @ ZGallerie for the pillows!! $14.99/ea CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? We couldn't. We had the extra end chairs since we replaced them with those amazing ones Shelli found for us. I was going to make pillows myself but just couldn't find the right fabric. We stumbled on these. I am glad you like them as much as we do. The price was INSANE!!!
With the niches, I was just going to add some white paint we already have to the turquoise we have to see what I could come up with. The niches feel slightly bright in the evenings. During the daytime they are softer. The hubs likes them as they are.
Anyway, thanks everyone. HIRE SHELLI...she's pretty much amazing!

Oh yea, that's Chloe our toy Aussie. She said to say, "Hello!".
ReplyDeleteThat looks great! I agree with everyone else- the niches are beautiful. The accessories are great. That mirror should be mine! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI would not change the niches, that was the first thing I loved about the room!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Don't change a thing! The color of the niches really gives it the "wow" factor....the unexpected. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! I'd leave the niches as is.... Where's the mirror from? It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt is quite lovely. I understand that the niches may be a tad bright for the evening, but have you thought about going half-tone with the color? You can go to the paint store and ask them to mix a sample at half strength to see if that works.....
ReplyDeleteLove, love everything that you came up with and she implemented; wonder, do you/anyone know where she got those 6 graphic prints from in the "before" pic? Looks like something I just saw on the High Low Project? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Shel!! So light and colorful at the same time!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love everything about the room even the niche color! Shelli, you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteShe really took the mood board and made it shine. I wouldn't change a thing, I love the color in the niches.

ReplyDeleteWow! What a great room! LOVE it! The curtains are fab and that mirror is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOMG I can't believe this! I have that SAME dining set and SAME mirror on the wall behind it!! We moved in a few months ago so I've been racking my head trying to get some inspiration for my dining room using this furniture but it's sooo hard to find on the net! You have just made my day, I'm going to use THIS beautiful version for my inspiration! Thanks Shelli, you are amazing! I'm so grateful that you show off your rooms! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's a post about my plain dining room in case you want to see :) http://mindmybeeswax.blogspot.com/2011/07/grannys-skills.html
ReplyDeleteWOW! Her room looks amazing great job!
ReplyDeleteYou guys did a great job, it's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteSince the niches are lighted, have you thought about painting the niches black to tie in the black chairs and mirror? I think a flat black would work best so there wouldn't be too much reflection and give it a wow element by making those vases pop!
Just a thought!
