My new headboard showed up!
I stole this mirror from here
and shacked it up above the new bed.
I also dug out my Belgian linen panels from the Restoration Hardware Outlet in Dawsonville, GA and used them in here. They are really heavy and beautiful but are sadly only 96 inches in my uber tall home, so this was the only room I could pull it off!
My hubs and I are also on our 7th can of white semi gloss spray paint in the midst of this little DIY.
Thanks Aubrey and Lindsay!
St. John stained while I sprayed.
Um, is it over yet?
It's not. Maybe tomorrow.
Stay tuned.

Love the new headboard! Can't wait to see the dresser finished (I bet you can't either!). I do love the mirror above the bed.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of the headboard.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get a new headboard, but I am so vested in the one I have...lol

Good for you, Shelli! Can't wait to see how your project came out!! Love the headboard, too!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous! i love the headboard. xoxo jillian:: enter to win a knit cowl!
ReplyDeleteI love that mirror. Can I steal it from you since you stole it from that other room? That's the same right?
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the same ikea hack to go as bedside tables in my guest room. Planning an upholstered headboard, too. Use oil paint. Two thin coats and you're done. It seriously didn't even look like I used any of the paint in the can. If you're set on spray paint, prime, use white and then buy clear gloss coat. You can get it at Joanne's. I used it to repaint a ceramic garden stool that I still wanted glossy.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the church pew. It gives the space such a unique look.
ReplyDeleteLove the headboard, I really want one but just don't see that in my future right now. I really want to steal the one from Mad Men season 1. Anywaysl, I love spray paint and hopefully you'll be done with the dresser soon and show us the awesomeness you've created!
ReplyDeleteThe headboard is absolutely stunning!!! The curtains are gorgeous too - love the color. Can't wait to see the finished product of your DIY labor. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking great! I love that dresser idea too. Can't wait to see 'er all finished!
ReplyDeleteYour headboard is so pretty...can I ask where you got it from? You nightstands are looking good. I love Ikea stuff, but gosh it can be a pain in the you know what to put together and paint. We purchased 2 unfinished bunk beds for our bonus room and we had to put them together and paint them...not fun!
ReplyDeleteLOVE! I am so wanting a headboard like that. Just beautiful. And I like the mirror as well. Excited to see the side table when you finally kick 600 cans of spray paint!
ReplyDeleteLove your new headboard, i just ordered ours for our bedroom as well!!
ReplyDeleteLOOOOVE!!!! Got my own little upholstered headboard and white spray painting going on at my house right now getting ready for some progress reports on here soon 'nuff girl!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous--all of it!
