I thought it would be a great day to show you my queen guest room makeover!
The side tables are finished!
Thank you St. John!
We followed Aubrey and Lindsay's post (but we used 10 cans of white spray paint for the drawers- um, use the oil based paint- we have trigger finger pains from the spray paint)
We used the same stain as our floors- walnut
I dressed the bed up in some linens I bought a few years ago at the Potterybarn outlet in Dawsonville, GA (the euros are PB and all of the charcoal gray linens are William Sonoma Home- also from the outlet)
The coral prints are from the Storehouse Outlet (no longer) and the foot bench is from HomeGoods.
I bought the upholstered headboard and the side tables, but all other room finds were repurposed from other rooms in my home or my 'walk in' storage in the house.
Here is the 'before' of the guest room (a year ago when we moved here). This was St. John's bedroom set before we married and I was over the black matchy set. It is currently for sale on craigslist (yahoo!). I realize it is also pillowpalooza but I think I just shacked them all up there on the bed because I didn't know what to do with them all. Does your home have a dumping grounds? This was kinda mine. Shhh, don't tell.
Here is the 'after' again.
I thought this bedding concoction would be fun for fall. Do you dress your beds in fall outfits? Apparently I do.
Do you like the changes?
Love the linens, and the side tables turned out great!!
ReplyDeletei love it! the houndstooth bedding is awesome!
ReplyDeleteTables turned out awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the side tables turned out. I was thinking about using them for our master bedroom. Do you think the scale of the nightstands would work with a king bed?
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I love the end tables {ikea hack?} If you spray paint another thing you much get the gun handle. It usually is hanging from a clip strip right next to the spray paint! Will save your finger and hand from cramping! So do you want to do post for Spray Painters Anonymous?
