It was pretty unanimous that I should change out the rug in the breakfast nook, so here was the original rug-
and here is the nook now with the neutral rug. Thoughts?
Um, pretend it is centered.
I think I am okay with the light legs on the settee now. Thoughts? Opinions?

I agree the settee legs look better on the lighter rug, but I personally liked the richness of the striped one for the cooler months.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the settee - where did it come from. I am voting for the striped rug.
ReplyDeleteRugs looks much better to me! I would lose the placemats... they take away from everything else, in my opinion. Your house is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I agree on giving the placemats the boot...maybe a runner instead?
ReplyDeleteI think that dark legs on the settee would match the table and chairs better. It's so beautiful and might look even better with dark legs. Your nook looks great! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutly love your style but do have a question - have you tried the table parallel instead of perpendicular?
ReplyDeletehmmmmm...i might switch out the settee with the other cream option..I'd also turn the table so the setee is facing out with it's back to the windows, and chuck the placemats. you have great taste so it already looks good...just some things that i would do if it was "my" space! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the settee just the way it is! I'm a fan of the solid rug vs the stripe... have you considered painting the chairs grey?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely loving the neutral rug. It makes that gorgeous chevron pop!
ReplyDeletei like this a lot better!! now can i have it?
ReplyDeletei like the neutral rug! xoxo jillian:: enter to win a knit cowl!
ReplyDeleteI like the Chevron settee and the neutral rug, but also liked the other rug as well. Looks great. Love the "um, pretend it's centered"...made me giggle!
ReplyDeleteMuch better. Love it! Great choice.
ReplyDeleteMucho better!! Legs look fine. I need that rug in an 8/10.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the neutral rug, it allows your furniture to pop!! As for the legs, I think they look good.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! WHERE DID YOU GET THE SETTEE!??? I am looking all over for one [for a reasonable price of course!] =)
ReplyDeleteLove the neutral rug - it makes the whole space lighter. I would also leave the legs as they are, but I have to agree that the placements need to go. Your home is beautiful - thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteLove the neutral rug!! Where are your curtains from??
ReplyDeleteI like this rug much better! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the neutral rug. The stripe would definitely work if he settee had a solid fabric on it. I would love to see the space set up with the settee in the bay and the table rotated 90 degrees so that the length goes with the bay. Don't you love other people rearranging your space ;) The light fixture and curtains are amazing!
ReplyDeleteHow about a round rug...the table and room lend themselves oval and round rather than a square rug. Also, the cream colored settee would be better. I agree on putting the length along with the bay it would flow much better. Perhaps a table runner would create a better flow across the table then placemats. Save the placemats for when you actually sit down to eat. Gorgeous curtains and floor and rug color.

ReplyDeleteLove the settee! The rug looks great it really makes your settee pop a lot more! Love the curtains too... I'm doing that in my nook soon :)
ReplyDeleteI love that settee and prefer the new rug. It allows the settee to be the focal point.
ReplyDeleteI think you should ditch the placemats, too.
Have you thought about turning the bench so that the back is in front of the window and them moving the table and chairs accordingly?
I liked the striped rug not loving the neutral one. I Would turn the bench by the window. Love the chevron..btw. Have great day!
ReplyDeleteEither way you made fab choices. Love both rugs. Perhaps you should go darker on the settee legs; it would provide a tad better balance.
