A Thoughtful Place- Festive 4th!

I was beyond thrilled when Shelli asked me to come and hang out over here for a day. I am simply in love with her home and her style. I thought I would mix it up a bit and toss out some ideas for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. We live in a very tight knit community that throws a huge bash each year on the 4th. Between bike parades with the children, 5K runs, concerts, BBQ's, bounce houses, and fireworks . . it's a big event. So I am always looking for little ways to make things festive . . but without a major amount of time.

Marshmallow Pops are a fun and easy treat to have for the kids {and adults!}. I like to fill a pail of sand and stick them inside. You can either use the candy melts to make them or simply melt chocolate chips. I like the colors that the candy melts have to offer. With the addition of sprinkles and a name tag, you are good to go. A couple of these baskets on a buffet table or an outdoor picnic table make an easy centerpiece.

Next up, are some amazing ideas which I stumbled upon over at Hostess with The Mostess. My jaw dropped so I thought I better pass these along as well. Check out these gorgeous images.

And of course, Martha Stewart always delivers with her ode to the Fourth of July below:

Those paper cones are so easy and so darn cute. And I love the idea of wrapping the empty soup cans in patriotic paper. Inexpensive and easy!

Hope you found some inspiration here! Thanks for having me, Shelli!
