Honey Were Home- Fun Decor Finds!

Hi all!  I'm Megan from Honey We're Home, my little design and life journal about decorating our new home and raising a new baby, while working part-time as a lawyer.  I've been quite obsessed with Shelli's home ever since I first saw it and am especially in awe of how well she pulls a room together with a mix of inexpensive pieces!  It's not always easy to do, but Shelli has a great eye and killer style.

In Shelli's honor, I decided to share some of my thrifty finds with you, since I know how we all love a great deal.  I've been slowly but surely decorating our new home and these low-cost items have been a fun addition.

Are you familiar with these little bowls from Anthropologie?  The patterns are so cool, I couldn’t resist after eyeing them for ages.  They are currently right at home in my closet. ($8)

While I was at Antro, I also picked up this retro-looking timer.  I use it all the time!

Target has some new decor items too.  I picked up this aqua vase ($19)

and these silver hammered vases. ($19)  I’ve been working on rearranging our living room bookshelves, so these fit perfectly.

This blue Target pillow was only $10.

This chevron throw was discovered at Ikea ($19) when I went there to buy the Expedit for my office.

Home Goods sold these cute salt and pepper shakers for about $8 each.   I’ve seen S&P shakers elsewhere that I love, but not the price tag!

And this magnifying mirror was only about $15 (I’m eerily fascinated by how my face looks 3x larger:)  The silver tray was $4 at Target.

First up are these quatrefoil reversible handtowels from TJ Maxx. The bath towels were $8.
These West Elm chevron accessories are holding my toothbrush/paste and contact case. The tumbler was $8 and the little tray was $6. I almost got these instead.
This white lacquer tray from the Container Store was $10. Although I really don’t like to keep beauty products on the bathroom counter, it’s convenient to have a few daily essentials close at hand.
Next up – James’ bathroom. I just picked up this fun, green soap dispenser from Crate & Barrel for $7. It comes in other colors too.

But check out this fun elephant that was $15 at Homegoods! How cheery! It will probably live on the white dresser in the future.
And finally, Z Gallerie has these awesome round crocodile trays for $30. They also come in lime, aqua, silver and white.
Thank you Shelli for letting me visit today!!!

OOOOOH, you know how I love a FIND!  THANK YOU MEGAN for sharing all of your goodies with us!  Oh, and its a good thing we live pretty far from each other in real life because you might just be missing one quatrefoil hand towel in that pretty bathroom of yours!  (I'm obsessing over it, no shock there, right?).  Ya'll Megan is the sweetest girl with a blog you'll wanna visit EVERYDAY (I do!)- you just never know what she's gonna write!
GO BLOGSTALK her here!

  5. I love the ikat bowls so I did a quick search on Anthro. Unfortunately, I missed the boat, they don't carry it anymore! Do anyone else over here know where I can get some similar pretty ikat bowls? Thanks!
