spray paint and a side table....budget find!

I am obsessed with these little morocco side table from Cottage and Bungalow, but at $989, they are WAY out of my price range. I love it in the blue AND the green, basically the color palette for my entire home. Moving on....
Here is a little more authentic version of a moroccan side table, LOVE the shape, but not the paint detail, just doesn't go with my calm and cool color palette. And, the price is still $219, so too expensive to paint over it.....

I found this little moroccan side table on the clearance shelf at Joann craft and fabric store.....70% off! I had it in the garage to take a pic of the original ugly forest green color....but my husband decided to spray paint the primer on it without telling me...so I have NO BEFORE PICTURE. Bummer. But I couldn't think of a way to complain about that to my husband since he was sweet and started the job for me....so here it is 'after.' Not too bad for $12, right?

I spray painted it with gold and then silver over top of it. It is a hodge podge of metallic but I think I like it. Of course I am NEVER satisfied, so now I want to repaint it white and add nailhead trim to look more like the side table from Cottage and Bungalow. What do you think?

THE FYI:
-Never underestimate the power of spray paint!

  2. I'd say live with it this way for a bit and then decide. It looks great now and would look great in white, too. What a find that was! I love your white pouff. I have been looking for an "affordable" one. Any ideas! Your daughter is a doll!
