OUR MASTER BEDROOM

This is my bed. My bedroom is my resting place. My get away. My home within my home. I like it calm, neat, peaceful. I love low lighting and the scent of Archipelago's Madagascar filling the air. And yes, I am having a love affair with my sheets (thats a whole different post, ha ha).

So, as you might have guessed, this room was done on inspiration (mentioned above) and a budget-- my husband's favorite word since I quit my job to stay home with K. I'll detail the finds for you in the FYI below.

THE FYI:
-For paint colors click here
-My headboard is from Ballard Designs (natural linen), $559
-I REALLY wanted the French Wing Upholstered Bed from Restoration Hardware, but at $2495, it wasn't in my budget
-Side tables are from Storehouse (which is no longer, sniff sniff)
-Urn lamps are from Homegoods
-Rug by the bed is from Southeastern Salvage for $30!!
-Linen chest is from Potterybarn outlet in Dawsonville, GA
-geode lamp is from Marshalls
-The bench that I am using as a footboard is from HomeGoods in Atlanta $149.99, I had a seamstress make the down linen cushion for me and the large roll pillow was $20 from TJMaxx that I had recovered in a linen table runner (Dwell) that I got on sale.
-Quatrefoil bedding is from Eschelon (I bought it at amazon).
-The blue euro shams on the bed are Serena and Lily (bought at TJMaxx)
-Round mirror above my bed is from Overstock.com for $99 (no longer available)
-Pillows on my chairs are from Trendy Pillows on etsy.
-The white terry chair is a craigslist find and the blue houndstooth armless chair is from Homegoods.
-Water scene print above the chair is from HomeGoods, $49.99
-Moroccan side table from next to the blue houndstooth chair is from Hobby Lobby
-Moroccan white pouf is from Authentic Morocco
-Curtain rods throughout my home are all Modern Drape Rod from Potterybarn
-Drapery panels are from Potterybarn, Peyton Grommet Drape, Oatmeal, 108", $109 per panel--I have these in every room of my house on the main floor.

  1. We just moved into our new house and sadly my bedroom has not been touched. We have all the nice furniture, but need to find the bedding and decor. I want mine to be a space for "us".

  2. Great blog! Love the bench at the foot of your bed - what a bargain indeed! There are similar S&L-style quatrefoil patterned sheets at WalMart right now (if low thread count doesn't send shivers down your spine).

  3. Thanks girls! about that bench- they had 2 when I bought it and I SO WANTED BOTH, but at the time lived in a tiny bungalow in Atlanta and had ZERO room. I pictured them facing each other in a sitting area of sorts. Sigh. I'll just tell myself it would have been too much of a good thing, right?

  17. Found you via Kelly's Korner! Breathtaking master bedroom. The photos are so inviting that I can literally envision myself curled up in the room with a good book (as opposed to sitting at my computer and staring at a desk full of work to be done)! :) I don't think you mentioned it- but where did you find the solid color euro shams on the bed? I need some in a similar color! Thanks!
