Destination Inspiration: St. Maarten

Welcome to Villa #1 at Coral Beach Club! Prepare to be dazzled......

To the left of these pics (Dawn Beach) taken from our back patio/pool, is Mr. Busby's beach bar and grill where we ate almost all of our meals (yummo!). It is very relaxed and the drinks are strong- good combination! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and since it was LITERALLY right next door to our villa, we just stepped over our back patio ledge and ate every meal (except a few dinners out at other fab spots). There is a marina across the street from the property for boating, fishing excursions as well as some shopping, restaurants, and a little market grocery store complete with wine, beer, etc (beware, its pricey).

A few nights we walked over to Big Fish and had dinner. Amazing seafood and other fare. Great wine!

This is the view of the foyer and living room of the villa. The kitchen, to the right, is beautiful and modern and you can even have groceries delivered on the day of your arrival! Insane. The furnishings are very contemporary with clean lines. The decor is beautiful in every room (Villa #1 has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths!)
This is the master bedroom which was gorgeous and HUGE. It had doors that fold into each out to the patio/pool/beach as well. 2 of the 4 bedrooms had ocean views but ALL had their own bath. We were sure wishing we had some friends with us to use the 3 extra bedrooms, we didn't realize how BIG the villa was going to be!

Here is a view of the private pool for our villa (#1) with my husband over to the left probably salivating over the smells from Mr. Busby's beach club- ha. Check out the sunken pool lounge in the middle- so fun!
I couldn't get enough. Can I move in please?

This is the view of St. Barts from our patio. It was off season (thats how we roll...cheaper!) so pretty much ALL of St. Barts was closed down. We can't wait to go there one day though. We already have our resort picked out.

THE FYI:
-I can't say it enough, go in the off season, it is less expensive!
-We booked the Coral Beach Club last minute (literally) and got an even better rate this way.....HALF PRICE.
-When we got there, we asked if any of the villas were available. When he said there were, we asked how much to upgrade? We paid $100 more per night for this HUGE gorgeous villa you just saw =) Thank you very much, sir!
-St. Maarten itself wasn't as amazing as many of our caribbean travels (dirtier and less to do), but....for the money, an AMAZING villa, and a last minute get away...I give it 5 stars!
-Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions or opinions (you know I got 'em). ha!
